New Zealand Certificate in Applied Software Development (new qualification)

The Toi Mai Workforce Development Council will be closing operations from 19 December, and disestablished from 31 December 2025. The Services Industry Skills Board; Electrotechnology and Information Technology Industry Skills Board; Food and Fibre Industry Skills Board will pick up its functions.

The New Zealand Certificate in Applied Software Development (Level 6) has been developed in partnership with Enspiral Dev Academy and addresses an immediate need for more software developers. It is designed to facilitate fast entry into the tech sector by providing more accessible training pathways for career changers and those from minority groups to enter the tech industry.

The qualification was listed in August 2022 and can be viewed here.
