The Toi Mai Workforce Development Council will be closing operations from 19 December, and disestablished from 31 December 2025. The Services Industry Skills Board; Electrotechnology and Information Technology Industry Skills Board; Food and Fibre Industry Skills Board; Construction and Specialist Trades Board will pick up its functions.

Big Screen Symposium

Toi Mai attended the annual Big Screen Symposium in July, with over 500 attendees. Presentations by NZFC, NZonAir, a number of guilds, writers and producers ranged from current economic-political challenges and funding and mental health toolkits to The Everyone Project, a new survey tool being launched that enables the sector to track its demographics.

We had a sneak peek of the next wave of New Zealand films coming to your screen shortly, including Holy Days, the film which was the vehicle for the Kahurangi Toi Ātea work-based learning pilot which Toi Mai partnered in.
