Following the introduction of new Level 2 skill standards in Content Creation, four additional Level 3 skill standards are now proposed. These build on foundational skills and focus on creating, producing and distributing multimedia content for contemporary creative and media contexts.
Developed with input from industry and education providers, these standards focus on practical skills including writing, content distribution, interviewing and producing audio/visual media.
They also replace the remaining unit standards in the Preliminary Journalism Skills and Radio domains, which will be expired accordingly. The new standards retain the essential practical skills and competencies of the previous unit standards but have been broadened in scope to ensure applicability across diverse media and broadcast contexts including creative spheres. This ensures relevance to evolving industry needs.
