Iti rearea kahikatea ka taea, the second Operational Plan for Toi Mai, outlines the needs and priorities of Toi Mai for the 2023–24 year as we leave our start-up phase and enter a phase of discovery and consolidation.

To continue building up a thriving Te Wao Nui o Toi for Ngā Peka o Toi, Toi Mai will prioritise:

• ensuring our long-term financial sustainability
• plugging missing qualitative and quantitative information and data gaps about our sectors
• championing two world views and engaging with Māori on Māori terms
• making significant progress on our peka workforce development and implementation plans (WDPs)
• improving communications to industry and providers and continuing to ensure the vocational education and training needs of our industries are met.
