Toi Mai is pleased to release its second Tertiary Education Commission WDC/TITO COVID-19 Response Projects Fund project report: Embracing Digital Transformation, which outlines how the Creative and Recreation sectors in Aotearoa applied new digital delivery models due to the pandemic.

The Embracing Digital Transformation (EDT) is a qualitative research project into five Creative, Cultural, Recreation and Technology sectors covered by Toi Mai, in which creators and practitioners in these sectors developed online content when, due to COVID-19 lockdowns and alert level settings, face-to-face and in-person delivery was not possible:

• Comedy
• Personal Training & Fitness Instruction
• Dance Instruction
• Kapa Haka
• Polyfest.

The report sets out insights and opinions provided by those interviewed, and the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and risks of an online practice. As well as seeking the experience of each sector, the report sets out the areas of shared commonalities across sectors.
