Toi Mai has submitted the sport and recreation review documents to the New Zealand Qualifications Authority (NZQA). The review outcome will be published in 2026 by the new Services Industry Skills Board.
Toi Mai has also worked with stakeholders on the development of a new sport and recreation qualification, New Zealand Certificate (NZC) in Active Recreation (Level 4) with strands in Facility Operations and Programme Delivery, 60 credits. See further details below.

The proposed last date for assessment for expiring qualifications and standards is 31 December 2028.
